What are my chances of getting approved for leasing a new 2009 Honda Civic?

I'm 28 years old, been at my full time job for three years now. (Before taxes, it pays $38,500). Early 2006, I was unemployed and ended up having my car re-poed but have since paid off the debt. It is still on my credit report but reports as closed and charge-off. My three credit scores all range from 624-637 and have been improving steadily since having been approved for my first credit card in several years. I use a small amount on the card (less then 60 bucks) and have paid every statement in full, and on time. I have no other expenses but my rent which includes all amenities and is $840.00 per month, roughly 300-400 for food and 160 per month for cable/tv/phone bill (all in one). That leaves roughly about 800 left over for a car and insurance payment. If I put a $2,000 down payment on a 2009 Honda Civic and it cost roughly 22-23,000 (with several ameties like Blue Tooth and XM radio), what are my chances of getting approved for a monthly lease? I have found out that my apr would be right around 11.7. Thank you!

I don't see a problem if you have steady income and pay stubs. Your
credit could be better, but If one dealer will not lease to you another one will.

With what you have said.....if you can afford between 450-500 a month plus insurance than you can have it.....

They will ask for more downpayment if you cant afford the monthy payment..so...yeah

Reason I say is because I make roughly 95k a year...I put down 5k as a downpayment for a 2008 Altima...and my score was 520...but because of the score my apr was higher...

Since you score is above fair than they will give you a lower apr...probably about 12-15%....so add that to the price of the car.. The total will be at 27000 roughly...so divide by the months. Good thing is that is a 2009 so you will get maybe a 96 monthly plan. So 27000 divided by 96..will probably about 300 with taxes and all that good stuff. Do your math.. and find out. So if your apr will be at 11.7 then do the math from there and add about 3k for licenses and taxes....
