What are good restaurants in NYC?

My grandma, mom, and myself are going to new york for the day on a bus. It drops you off at Macy's on 34th st and we got tickets to see Hair at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre 302 W. 45th st. We aren't really interested in seeing historical sights we just want to wander around so we decided to walk to the theater and I'm looking for good restaurants on the way. Also any suggestions of things to check out on this route would be much appreciated. thanks
