What are good ideas for an author wanting to write a new book?

I am an aspiring author and I need some original ideas for writing a book. So any ideas would be helpful. maybe things you want to see happen in a book, or even ideas of what might make a great book.

Well, the best books I red were about things I thought of myself, but never expressed them, or not so clearly. The greatest thing about reading a book is finding pieces of yourself in it.

Write a book about what you're feeling, about what pissed you off, or about what you love. Write a book with characters that do something you wouldn't dare, write a book about a situation in your life, if only something big had happened that day... and the list goes on.

Sex sells. Yet no classic novelist had a sex-oriented book. Just write about what you feel. And ready your buttocks, since writing a book involves a lot of sitting down in front of a blank page!

Cheers!

Here, becaust the author should come up with the idea here are some things to help you think about that idea.
You should try to picture the scene in your head before you write it.
When you lay in bed at night think about what you want to happen in your book.
You should do little exersises on your characters. Like making fake ones for no book, and trying to describe them as best as possiable.
Once you finish each chapter spend at least a whole week editing.
Get books on writers digest to help.
When you have a exiting idea right it down, and go back to the "boring" stuff latter.
I hope I helped. :)
