I liked Twilight and The Host, I also liked
Gemma Doyle trilogy- Libba Bray (A Great & Terrible beauty, Rebel Angels and The Sweet Far Thing) Gemma, in 1895 London, has the power to enter "the realms". She and her 3 friends have adventures there, but they have to protect them from the Order leader Circe, who wants the realms power for evil. A bit of romance, but more girly stuff.
City of Bones- Cassandra Clare 15 year old Clary is normal, until she sees a murder in a NYC nightclub. Turns out, no one else saw it, because it was a demon murdered by demon hunters. Clary is whisked into the magic world, and gets help from the "shadow hunters" after her mother is kidnapped by an evil demon. She falls in love, and the story has a really twisted ending. It will hook you, and Im sure youll scream at the end, I did

.
Pride & Prejudice- Jane Austen Elizabeth Bennet thinks Mr Darcy is rude and arrogant, and they both hate each other. The fall in love, because they cant help it. Written in 1813, so the old English society is really amazing.
Artemis Fowl- Eoin Colfer 12 year old Artemis is a genius. He kidnapps a LEPrecon officer, Holly Short. The fairies are trying to get her back, and in the end Artemis wows them all with his wits. They all become great friends and theres 5 other books following.
Eragon- Christopher Paolini 15 year old Eragon thinks he finds a normal rock in the forest, but it hatches. He becomes the first dragon rider in a hundred years, and he has to overthrow evil King Galbatorix. Pure fantasy, but awesome.
The Mediator series- Meg Cabot. Suze is a mediator; she can see ghosts. Mostly she tries to help them out, but sometimes she has to kick ghost butt. She falls in love with a ghost, and has a few troubles when ghosts keep trying to kill her. I read these right before the Twilight series, and I thought they were perfect books for people who liked one or the other.
