What are exercises footballers (soccer players) do...?

Okay first of all there is nothing that will just TONE a muscle thats a myth.
And what position are you playing? Strikers need a workout that involves more sprinting and light weights on the legs, and some rope skipping, mids need more cardio and also light weights for there arms and legs, defenders may want some light sprinting and heavy weight lifting on the upper body and legs. And the thing all the players need is some cardio and a strong core, ab work outs
 
If you want explosive power and bonecrushing leg slides I suggest sled pulls, squats, box stands, lunges and wind sprints. Do these exercises religiously and constantly push yourself and you will dominate the playing field.
