I am going to paint my black 2002 mustang cobra soon. The paint is in good shape but has minor scratches and two dings. I was quoted $1500 for the entire car from a body shop that has a good reputation, but I know MAACO is much cheaper. I have been considering MAACO, which I understand has many many critics of their quality of work. I actually had my car painted from them years ago for $300 and believe it or not it was pretty good! I have also read they have improved their SOPs (standard operating procedures) in order to improve their quality recently. I don't want to spend $300 but would like to save money and keep it around $1,000. I would imagine of I am willing to spend more they may improve the quality, offer better quality paint, and even offer a couple year warrany on their work. My question is what are some brand names of good quality car paint that dealerships use? I would like to ask MAACO if they use this type of paint to make sure it isnt the cheap stuff! I would really appreciate this from any of you car buffs or professional painters out there. Does anyone out there have any good experiences with this MAACO? Thanks Guys! Jeff
