what are denim jeans? 10 points!!!!!?

ok so i know the question is dumb but i really dont know.
i bought 2 different types of skinny jeans grey and my school don't accept denim jeans so idk which ones which.


so uh can i get any help here? oh and maybe a picture on whats denim and whats not?
oh and 1 of them is a soft material not hard like jean thing

denim is the fabric that all jeans are made from, so you probably can't wear any jeans to school.

Denim jeans are usually blue but the color sometimes varies. The material usually isnt soft kind of like rough
