There are indeed 5 premises in Darwin's Theory of Evolution which occurs through Natural Selection:
1. Natural populations tend to grow fast, especially when the is NO limiting factors.
2. There is variation of organisms in any natural population.
3. Due to the fact that limiting factors exist, organisms of any one natural population compete for resources (food for instance)
4.Through competition, the Fittest Survives.
5. And this fit organism passes on its beneficial traits to its offpring.
