What are all the symmetries involved in human communication?

I wrote a theory on this for a communication class which I theorized breaks in symmetries as being mediated to changes in moods and topics. I proposed that people always try to achieve a symmetrical response to the other but sometimes the responses are not symmetrical.

-This is not for a class assignment. I.m just curious to see what other people besides myself think those symmetries are.-
