What are all or most of the Great Civilizations?

i need them in approximate chronological order and please, i need the GREATEST of the great because the list can go on forever
I'm thinking of civilizations like the Greeks, Mayans, and Egyptians. But I dont really know in what order to put them or if i even need to have a specific order. I'm only 14 so I am having trouble figuring who and how to tell about great civilizations in an epic we have to write for english. I just need a few more civilizations to work with my story but i don't any besides the ones i said before.
 
There is no such thing as chronological order of great civilizations since many overlapped each other. Also, who is to define great civilization? What are your criteria in choosing the greatest?
