...get full question!? Okay, in Biology class we are learning about Biodiversity. We are currently doing a group project on it. The group recieved an a topic question and we have to around asking people if they know the answer... So I guess you could say it's kind of like a survey. We are supossed to post questions about it, randomly ask students, ask people around the city, etc. I thought it would be a great idea to ask it on answers and test everyone Biology skills. Are you ready? here is the question:

What are 5 ways humans have threatened biodiversity and what are 5 ways humans have protected biodiversity? In your opinion, is there an issue with humans having a negative effect on the environment? Explain.
 
5 ways humans have affected biodiversity:
1) Clearing land for building.
2) Building dams on rivers.
3) Runoff from farms and cities into rivers and lakes, thus lower the DO concentration.
4) Pollution from burning fossil fuels and adding greenhouse gasses to atmosphere.
5) Protecting certain species from hunting, thus changing the keystone predators.

5 Ways we have protected it:
1) Limiting pollution.
2) Protecting certain areas, like national parks.
3) Building around areas, as to not destroy existing habitats.
4) Improving waste management.
5) Leaving it alone.
Yes, our affect on the environment has been too focused on us and has already destroyed areas of great biodiversity, like coral reefs. Is it too late to reverse what we have done? Time will tell.
