What amp for my car system!?

I am slowly buying my system as i get the money. My first bit of the system was a MTX terminator 2 x 12" with closure sub.

I am planning of buying 4 speakers and a head unit what amp would i need to power my whole system? How many channels would i need? how many watts? recommend models from kicker or alpine

What does a capacitor do? and will i need one?

hey dude,
I cant answer all of your question but as i know the alpine, kenwood and the pioneer are of the best brands with high qualities ive tried them.
1. About powering your system, if you mean you must add a battery for your system, i dont think so but not sure.
2. About the channel i guess 4 are enough. ive tried pioneer(ooof marvellous).
3.Speakers kenwoods are good as well as pioneers but if you really wanna roll you can get a whole speaker and sub system from rockford fosgate they are cool but i prefer pioneer.
4.Head units: make sure they have usb and bluetooth function or you can just go with the in dash touchscreen dvd mp3 etc......
