I have a CASIO keyboard and it is my understanding that I can put MIDI files on it. I ordered an MIDI converter cable and the instructions show a picture, connecting the cable to a laptop, the keyboard, and this other box which kind of looks like this: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=MIDI+adapter&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US
fficial&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=5005413077806047034&ei=d5koTYjOOoet8AaNqOnGAQ&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CCYQ8wIwAA#
I don't have that. Do I need that do accomplish what I want? What I've done so far is connect the keyboard to the PC, install the driver software, then I downloaded FL Studio and went to Options>MIDI Settings and the instructions said to select USB Audio something but that option is not available for me. All that's there is something like "USB MIDI something", so I selected that and clicked Enable. Then I opened the MIDI Out thing and whatever keys I hit on my CASIO keyboard, I hear the corresponding sound on FL Studio. But that's all I can do. I downloaded an MIDI file (moonlight sonata), and I can play it in FL Studio and see which keys are used, but how do I get the file onto my keyboard?
