Helly, my name is Shaun, and I recently purchased a Duster/bikini/windjammer kit for my 1989 YJ. Considering that I purchased the Jeep from someone, I do not know whether the top is a super top or a factory top. It is a soft top, and has 1/2 steel doors. Everything went on great and hassel free except the duster. My issues are these. The tailgate section of tubing on the duster does not match my jeep tailgate rail. The rails on my jeep are all "slide style". The sides and corners match up, just not the tailgate section which the duster has a tubular style. When installed, the duster slopes down from the front of the jeep towards the tailgate. The reason for this, is that when flush the duster is too long and wont stay in the rails. Just guessing, I would say that it fastens to the front section of the sport bar about 6" above the body or about where my shoulders start when sitting in the seat. Is this normal for this particular year of jeep and cover? I have all of the seats out as well to ensure there would be nothing for it to hang up on. Last but not least, the packaging information says that it is for a 1989 Jeep YJ/ Wrangler with factory softop. Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you...
