what am i allowed to send my boyfriend in boot camp?

he just left for paris island yesterday to be a marine and i was wondering what i was alowed to send to him is it just letters or can i send him packages with food and stuff in them too? just asking because i dont want to get him in trouble or anything im not sure how this works
