(auto)? i have a 1990 chevy cavalier with the 2.2 (its a automatic)and i want to install a turbo or even a supercharger on it what all will i need to do this like turbo intercooler all the goods

Then you will just need a new motor and tranny after the old ones blowup because it is a cheap piece of junk that was never meant to handle that kind of power. Get a Camaro or Mustang and spend the money on it if you want to go faster, spending it on the Cavalier will be a big waste and it won't work.

Need to to the following:
Remove the engine and modify the pistons, rods and crankshaft to withstand the extra torque. Modify the cylider head ports and replace the valves with proper type (sodium filled) to prevent damage to them. Then you need to replace the intake and exhaust system, fuel injection system, ignition system and the computer or control unit. Now you are ready to hang the turbo unit and the asociated plumbing to the engine.Price tag for this work, about $5000.
Turbocharger does not just bolt on to a any engine. The engine, fuel system, intake and exhaust system of a turbo engine is different than a normal aspirate engine. If you just want to hang the turbo unit on your engine then just get the exhaust manifold, turbo unit and all the plumbing for the air, oil and perhaps the coolant, get an adaptor for the intake air and you are done. You will not be able to get much pressure form the turbo so there won't be much or any gain of power. If you decide to crankup the turbo pressure you will definitely blow something in your engine. Pistons and valves are the first to go. Don't forget the transmission problems due to the extra torque that it was not designed to withstand.
Here is sound advise, If you want more poer, just get another Turbo charged car. It is cheaper and you'll save lots of money in the long run.
In a mean time, there are some modifications that you can do to your current Cavalier that does not cost too much and it will improve the power/acceleration. Start with basics. Make sure the engine is tuned properly. Get better air cleaner and intake system. Replace the exhaust system for better flow/increase power. Look into replacing the ECU or perhaps just the microchip. You can also get the ECU reprogrammed for better power.

Chevy 2.2 production motors are weak.
The transmission is no better.
I don't think they can handle the boost.

Other then that, try to get a sound block and crank shaft and build a new engine for the turbo charger. To find a sound block may be a time consuming endeavor and incur costs well beyond a power-train swap.
