What all do i need for a sick new car audio system?

I want to put a brand new audio system in my car with everything i need to make it loud as hell, but I'm not sure what equiptment I need to buy (subs, amp?) and how many of each i would need to buy. For example, I've seen cars with multiple amps.

I drive a mid sized suv so I will have a good amount of space to put it all
