What all do I need for a Car stereo system?

I just got a new car and want to put 2 12" subs in it somehow but I know nothing about car stereo.
Someone Please tell me what all I need to make a good system
can a place like car toys install all of that for me?
 
I think youre better of going to a car electronic store and have them install ure sound system/ plus if u have it done at a store like best buy u also have the option of having custom sub boxes for ure car,plus work under warranty its good, professionally installed give the best results and looks (all this is expensive but worth it) but if ure like me then u probably want to buy everything needed like power wire kit/ subs and amp.......make sure u have a free day to put it all together**
