What albums are you looking forward to in 2010?

Hey, so this is my first post on this forum, but I've been reading for awhile. There is soooo much music that I must listen to to catch up...haha. I feel like an infant compared to you guys! Anyways, I am looking forward to new albums by
Radiohead
State Radio
Fountains of Wayne

Things other people have mentioned that i am also excited for:
The Strokes
Arcade Fire
Fleet Foxes
Spoon
Vampire Weekend
MGMT

I think I would be more excited about this if it were being released as just one big epic splurge, or at least one 4-song EP at a time, instead of the whole "one song a month for almost 4 years" thing that's happening.

The three that have come out so far have been relatively "meh," although "A Stitch in Time" is a pretty good little pop tune and probably the best thing b0lly's recorded in AT LEAST 7 years.

Wow, I had no idea it was out of print and going for a minimum of $45 on Amazon. I must have picked mine up around 2002, don't remeraber if it was new or used but it was a totally normal price.

Good to hear! I very much look forward to that.

Just looked on his site and he's got a new collab project called Eskamon?! Sweet! Sample single here, just released this week. Haven't seen any album announcement though, hope it's not just a one-off track.

And there's a new Amon single! Damn, I need to keep up with his site more.

HOLY FREAKING BALLS.

I am super excited for The Hold Steady's new album, Heaven is Whenever. They say this one is supposed to be a bit more pop sounding, but I think I'm okay with that. As long as Craig Finn is singing I'm pretty much okay with whatever they do. I think its crazy that the single "Hurricane J" is about a girl named Jessie. feels like hes singing to me. The song is amazing. Check it out. And from the sounRAB of this song I don't think we have to worry about them changing much.
Can't wait for this one to come out!

Holy ****, can hardly believe I’ve forgotten the new Blood Axis coming out at the end of the month!!!! :banghead:
It’ll be the long awaited follow up to their first full-length album, “The Gospel of Inhumanity” an absolute milestone for ‘neofolk’/post-industrial music and an album that contains literature, samples etc. of everyone from Bach to Nietzsche to Ernst J

i wouldn't necessarily call it crap but they're the Megadeth of stoner rock and Nick Oliveri is that scene's Dave Mustaine. he neeRAB to get over the fact that he chose to get way too effed up way too often and that it's HIS fault he got kicked out of banRAB. stop trying to emulate the groups you were in and start doing your own thing without constantly trying to measure up to your past.

yeah i really thought he was going to smaller but more frequent online distribution of his material as opposed to full length discs after the Foley Room, most definitely glad to be mistaken on that one :thurab:

QOTSA or TCV album would please me, so either or.

Gonna listen to The Strokes' new album, but they produced one brilliant album and 2 shite/mediocre albums.. so I'm not expecting much.

Oops, I meant to take Cannibal Ox out of the list as it may just be speculation. I copied this from the list I keep to remind myself of stuff to be on the lookout for.

I have the QOTSA album on my list too but removed it for the same reason really, plus I didn't dig the last one too much.

this sentiment is what makes them one of the legitimately GREAT banRAB out there right now. coupled with the fact that most fans can be civil while discussing their favourite albums is indicative of the kind of people the band appeals to. it's great stuff all around.

i don't consider Lullabies to be a 'bad' album per se, but it's my least favourite of the band's offerings by a significant amount.

the S/T re-release is also finally supposed to happen later this year. it's been in talks since about 2004. legalities are awesome.:banghead:
