my baby is 11 months old and she loves the park but im not sure when it is ok to put her in the baby swings. we got her one that hangs from the door frame but it is to big, she looks so small in it

It all depends on your baby's development. Most have strong enough neck muscles by 8 months to sit up in a park swing just fine with no extra padding.

I've seen first time moms barely pushing their kids and I've seen moms having their 11 month old swinging high. It just depends on your baby's development and your comfort level.

Just a warning... the only parent at the park who cares about your kids safety is you. No one will stop their 10 year old from running into your kid on the swing, so you need to defend your child.

The only time I go to the park alone is during the time when school is in session. After school and on weekends I won't push my daughter in the swing without my husband or someone on the other side to protect the swing from the big kids.

they can swing when they are old enough to sit up on their own on the floor. just dont push her all dramaticlly. be right by her... if you feel uncomfortable, but something behind her to fill out the swing, i.e. a blanket...

:)

I put my 8 month old in it and he loves it. He holds on and sits forward and I push just a little bit.

I have been putting him in it since he was 6 months. He loves it

She's old enough. The baby should be able to hold herself up in a sitting position before riding in one of those swings. Just go easy at first and see if she holds on. If she holds on, you can push her a little higher :o) My daughter started riding in one at around 4 months and she loved it.

Bring a blanket with to tuck in and around her to make h er a little more secure in there.

If she has good upper body strength and you are comfortable with it, it should be fine.

I wouldn't recommend pushing her really high or anything. But she is plenty old to sit in the swing while mommy hangs onto othe chains and swings her back and forth a little.

I would think it would be fine as long as they can hold there head up good. Since your daughter is 11 months old she is good to be in a swing she is almost a year old.

if she can sit up properly and hold her head up firmly and when you swing her not flop all over the place then she is big enough. we bought one for our backyard when our son was little. i think he was about 5ish months when we started using it.

It all depends on their stability and how well their coordination is..etc. Being on a swing does get them a bit dizzy, just go easy and make sure she's being responsive and actually likes it.

Theres alot of factors, but my daughter was in a swing at about 8 months.. or less... but she did very well with sitting standing and stability in general by then
