What affect does eating marijuana have?

I dont smoke but i have obviously smelt it (those Canadians are potheads!) no offense, i love Canada.

I just had dinner, and my flatmate cooked; i ate this cooked green chopped up "vegetable" that i suspect might be wacky tabacy, does it kind of tasted how it smells but im not fully sure.

If it was wacky tabacy does it have any affect?
lol i love Canada, i've just never meet so many stoners in one place (all those snowboarders)
