What happened to the SF protesters against the Olympics and China?

Congratulations to Mayor Newsom for his tact in changing the torch route and psyching out the troublemakers! Now, since the torch run is complete and the closing ceremony is even more secure at the airport, those tibetians and leftist liberal extremists (anti-Americans) cannot enter the grounds at SFO and ruin the ceremony!

The common sense of SF's Mayor and the Olympic Flame both have the last word and the tibetians and liberals have to reload for the next torch destination. We won and kept the Olympic spirit alive! Great work, Mr. Newsom!

Your question does not deserve a proper educated answer, as you are obviously not worldly wise, now are , as a european, I enjoy a relatively free lifestyle, but the poor Tibetans were thrown out, hard working as they were and still are, now to save me boring the more educated one amongst us I will spare the reasons why, so I sedgiest before you rave on about the protesters put you ignorant self in the Tibetans slippers and smell the coffee.

And thus explains your freedom of speech, too bad you don't deem it fit that everyone else should have the same freedoms of speech. Ironic to the core.

maror newsam has kept a lid on thing in san fiero cris formage said why we are shocked at chinas treatment of the Tibeten people we must not stoop to there level

Well I agree. It's a good thing that Newsom re-routed the torch but then I don't think many people won. The protestor's didn't win since they didn't get the chance to potentially spoiled the torch run but then the athletes lost because they had to jog (at times walk) in fear (especially what happened in London), the police didn't win because they had to deal with this protesting, the city had to pay HUGE amounts of money for the security and most importantly the pro-Olympic's crowd in San Francisco didn't win because it was a chance in a lifetime they get to watch a torch run in their city which as some can imagine is very sad.

The only people I can think of that won is the American government who used and instigated this issue to drive the Chinese people to go against each other, even more sad.
