What '04 or '05 Car Would be Good for a New Driver?

something a little safe, affordable, but nice
and i like small SUVs
btw, im 5'2 so i need to be able to see!
 
If your looking for a SUV a Jeep Grand Cherokee would do it. As far as a car any Buick like La Sabre, or Century, or some thing similar.
 
I wouldn't get a small SUV. The reason is because they tend to have all of the weaknesses of an suv(mediocre to bad handling, braking ability, and high center of gravity) without the strengths(towing and offroad ability). In the 04-05 MY traction control systems weren't all that common among them either. I'd stick with a midsized sedan. I'd look at the Accord coupe, Mazda 3, or the Ford 500/Taurus if you need something bigger. What's your price range?
