wet cell phone question please help me or i might die!!?

ok my vzw samsung sch a990 got wet but it still works, the thing wrong with it is that its like it is pushing buttons by itself and its really hard to text and other stuff. i was wondering if it might just be the battery or whatever. aaaaaaaaaaaah i hate phones!!
 
did it just get wet? if so, take out the battery and put it in a bag of rice. if not, then you need to pay $50 and get it replaced.
