were does the remote blue wire connect?

having a little trouble conecting the remote wire (blue) to my cd player it says on sony website (pre-out for easy amplifier connectivity) and (Selectable Sub-out (Back) Pre Out) whats the diffrence. and also where exacly do i connect ive heard 12v wire or blue and white so is it the harness or the back of the cd player like plug in the back of the HU. thanks sorry about the long question
 
After you've ran your wires the remote wire should be connected to the amplifier and ran up to the the head unit and then spliced with the blue or blue/white wire that is on the wiring harness. You're on the right track. The pre-out gibberish is referring to the rca cable plug-ins for your amplifiers. They are separate from the remote wire. So just find the blue wire on the harness, and the harness should have the name of the wire, and what it corresponds to, written in small letters on the skin of the wire to help you make the right connection. Just connect the wires with their same colors.
