Went to the HD demos today and the winner is........Road King!

My Road King Classic was a super nice ride and I wish I had been able to keep it. I loved that bike but I like my '09 Ultra Classic better.
 
Hard to go wrong with a King, it's one of the best looking bikes that Harley makes and like you said, it's perfectly capable of being a stripped down cruiser, or add a rear bag and take off across country.

Add some chrome rear floorboard covers and you're set!

I like all the extras on my Ultra, but if I won the lottery and had a stable of bikes, one of them would be a King.
 
I recently traded my 08 UC 105th anni. for a 2010 RK. I was going to wait for the 2011's but found out HD was doing away with the Redhot Sunglo. Found a 2010 with all the extra's I wanted. A friend ask me wasn't I going to miss my tunes? I pulled out my Ipod and told him I had better sound with it. After all, I want to hear the music, not everybody else. IMO the Road King is KING!!!!! Ride Safe!
 
LMAO...this might be like an oil thread. everybody hear how great the RK is, they'll be running down and buying them. You can't find any Mobil1 15/50 at wally world, it's all been bought after the last thread...LOL
 
I'm kinda going through the same thing right now. I'm in the market for a used bike and can't quite decide between the touring bikes. I've had an RK before and they are great bikes. The nice problem I'm having is do I want a stereo, fairing and other stuff or not. I use my bike as main transportation alot so it's good to have the creature comforts of the Glides. But it's really hard to beat the RK so I haven't ruled them out and actually looking at some cop bikes. Who doesn't like looking for a new Harley?
