He's got both systems, I rented a couple games for both and swung by after work. They were doing some runs in GT HD when I got there, I got a turn ranked 108 with one of the Evo's. Pretty cool, good graphics. He loaded up the Motorstorm demo we passed that around a couple laps each. Loaded up Resistance, cool game but everything felt like a PS2 with better images didn't really seem like anything new. The motion sensors in the PS3 controller were used in Marval: Ultimate Alliance so that was kinda neat. We probably stuck with the PS3 for an hour maybe even 2.
Then we fired up the Wii, Had several crazy Best of 5 Tennis matches, My team reigned supreme and I hold the title of 2006 Wii Sports Tennis Champion. I put in Super Swing golf. We ejected it after all 4 of us had our golf balls land in the EXACT same spot from the drive, can you say lame. Wii Sports Golf > Super Swing Golf.
Next came Red Steel, I won in a free for all, I was given the worst person and won teams, and then we went 3v1 and I still won. I can actually aim with the Wii Remotes, no more annoying thumsticks for me. After they gave up on that we went to Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, the minigames were very fun, couple annoying ones but for the most part they were fun.
Next thing we knew it was 4am and people took off, those of us left felt like checking out the PS3 some more and put Gundum in, that didn't last long as we all felt it was terrible. Then we ran into some issues with the PS3 not bringing up a game disc as being loaded a couple ejects/inserts finally corrected that. My friend noted that the system had overheated on him but was doing well for the short times we played it, no issues other than the disc reading. Then I watched X-Men the last stand in Blue-Ray.
