And everyone had a frozen or crashed ps3...wtf I cant even play the demo in stores...the employees are saying that a few have just overheated or just froze...
 
see i always wondered about that. They always tell us to keep the xbox/playstation in a well ventilated area, but theres are boxed up in plastic.
 
2 of 3 wal*marts I went to this weekend in my search for a wii had the same problem. At first, I thought it was just a still image or paused, but there were tons of multicolored, large blocky pixels.
 
In my local Walmart, the PS3 is in the video game display case, sitting on cardboard for ventilation. The EBGames one is in a plastic enclosure.
 
next time you go in, look to see if any cables are coming off the PS3 in the plasic display. I doubt there are too many variations of this display. the one in the plastic i saw a best buy was a dummy one. with the real system underneath.
 
Must have been because the employee opened the case to reset it...he says he has to open the case 6-10x a day to reset it because it freezes all the time.
 
Same thing happened to me. I walked up to the PS3 demo to play NBA 07 and that Motostorm game, and it was on the dashboard, and I moved the icon, and it wouldn't move. I lol'ed and tried to reset it...no luck.
 
i've seen several like that at walmarts and targets.

i remember reading that moto runs for 15mins on demo and then it's suppossed to reboot the system, but usually it just hangs
 
Went to GS today to check out the Wii in person. Their's was running ok. Played Excite truck for a bit, seems pretty cool. Definitely want to get one.
 
I went into GS today as well, saw that they just got in the PS3 demo station and it was already frozen when I got there. The manager was about to dissassemble it to restart it.
