It does sound a lot like poison Ivy, although it could be something else, I'd suggest seeing your doctor if you don't see an improvement.
In the mean time, something that may help stop the itch is soaking the affected areas in hot (not warm, hot, but be careful not to burn yourself!) water. When doing this it will sort of feel like the itch is intensified for a while, but after a minute or two it will lessen and then when you get out the itch will be minimal or gone. This method works with Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, which could be what you are describing. This method works by making your body release histamines (which make you itch) rapidly and continuously until they are temporarily depleted from the area.
