Well I did it.... And I did it.... :)

Had a very embarrassing moment yesterday. While driving through the parking lot at work(slow speed) I went to turn around for a parking space I passed. Hit the front brake too hard and down my dumb azz went. I remembered watching a video about how to upright a touring rig by putting your butt in the seat and lifting with your legs. Well I'll be damn, the bike went up almost with no effort. Cool... Totally embarrassing but the only thing damaged was my ego.

That bites, but it happens. You're lucky the fairing and the bag weren't scratched or cracked. And, good job on the lifting. I have seen that demonstrated several times but luckily have not had to attempt it yet.

I did something like this a couple years ago. Parked my bike right outside our office windows just like I do every day, but for whatever reason, got off the bike without putting the kickstand down....well, it ain't gonna hold itself up!

Talk about a hurt ego.

Glad the bike is ok. As you know...and what I try to remember - Wheels must be straight when going slow and using front brake. Keep clutch in friction zone and use rear brake. Watch me do the same thing today!!! I like to hit abandon parking lots when I see them and do little practice. Sh*t happens quick!

I see by your sig that your ride has no rear crash bars. You must of caught her and set it down easy.
Hard not to get any damage to saddlebags on blacktop with rear bars.
Good Job!!!!
