The cold war ..... it went on for decades ..... and of course that generated "Proxy wars" . The "super powers" couldn't risk fighting each other so they made other people in smaller nations fight for them

Russia would turn some nation into communists or so it was rumored ( just getting along with the Russians turned you into an instant commie pinko back then) and the US would have to fight on the side of the righteous to ensure freedom prevails ........... The two super powers used nation after nation making them fight each other --- in proxy wars This went on for decades

Korea --- Vietnam and even Iran Cambodia and others --- proxy wars won lost or stale mated --

Iraq has been "liberated" Iran might get liberated North Korea threatens and the Russians are not happy --- China is worried about it's investments in the US as it watches the dollar go down and the losses on the dollar impact their economy and purchasing powers internationally

Chapter one --- The cold war --- proxy wars

Chapter 2 ---- the wars of liberation ?

Iran might implode --- ( convenient for Israel AND the US)

North Korea might nuke someone --- and he is aiming for the US itself this time

Afghanistan Pakistan and back again to the Russians ---

A war that has gone on for decades

Well , how have you been enjoying the perpetual war ?

The 90's were so boring with all the peace and prosperity. Sure, we bombed the Balkans and Iraq a few times back then, but most people were more interested in the story of an ice skater who had her leg broken in an evil plot hatched by an olympic rival. The press barely covered bloodshed abroad, but that ice skater was on the news night after night.
People were so bored in peace time that the government hired a special prosecutor to spend 20 million in taxpayer dollars to investigate a oval office indiscretion.
But now we don't have to worry about being bored anymore; we have wars on 2 fronts.

For the first time in my life I am finally proud of my country. I get dates for free on tax payers money. Thanks America! -- Michelle
