No no.. I called them once. But I didn't bitch at them for taking their sweet ass time. I rarely will start an argument with a policeman for my own enjoyment.
The times I have confronted officers and most of the time got my ass kicked was because I felt they weren't doing what they are supposed to be doing based on the fact that my taxes pay for them to live.

Ok numbnut look at the context. I layed into them about seeing 2 cops drive down my block and not stopping, but I didn't go out of my way to call them over and over.

I'll put it this way so you can understand.
The police officer who eventually showed up apologized for being late. I told her it wasn't her fault, but that I had seen two other cops drive down my block and that I found it pretty irresponsible that they didn't stop since I did see them pretty much sit the driveway of my neighbors house to talk or something.

But I did not blame her personally for it and when she was done I once again stated that since I am new to this area, was their a way I wouldn't have to wait from 8:30 am til 2:00pm to get assistance.

I'm just going to call straight-up bullshit on this entire thread. It deserves B&T, so Vic--if you could oblige--we would all be most appreciative.

I'd like to add that law enforcement is just like any business of that nature: the cops that drove by obviously weren't assigned to your case. The dispatcher as well as the department in general has to manage how many officers they have in whatever area at a given time and who goes where. No reason for them to stop if they haven't been called to that particular scene.

My guess is that a specific officer was sent to your home, and the two that drove by were on patrol or had somewhere else to be.

edit: plus if you weren't even sure anything was taken, the chances of figuring out whodunnit and clearing the case are relatively low. No hurry or priority for manpower if it's not going to accomplish anything. They have to come because they're the police, but realistically they can't go full out on every "possible burglary" call they get.

/criminal justice rant

Because this thread is bullshit, and the "police" he's talking about are fictional.

You know, patrolmen take prints. And the car had blood on it, which obviously couldn't be used.:colbert:
