No, this is obviously an issue of intelligence... or lack thereof.

Because your argument seems to suggest that it is easier to organize people towards a violent rebellion than it is to organize people to participate in a representative democracy...

By rebellion, I don't mean an organized armed uprising with a leader, followers, and a cool organization logo. People as individuals are going to rebel against "the system" in whatever way they can. This is only the beginning. If you think the economy is improving, or we have more freedom, or we're safer, you're being fooled.

Those that feel wronged, or have their rights trampled on, or see that things are getting worse, are going to snap in greater numbers this year than ever before.

I was up in buffalo, snowed from Christmas on pretty much....supposed to snow for another like 6 days straight up there...

Fuck them. I don't have a dog. Besides, I have MUCH better weapons than Randy Weaver ... who ultimately won in court and got a nice pay off from the civil suit when the government was found to have overstepped their bounds when then did what they did.
 
Hopefully during their rampage they don't weed any useful DNA out of the gene pool. Some government office is one thing () but if they tore up a children's hospital or Harvard Cancer Research Lab or Ron Paul before they themselves died then its a net loss to society
 
What if there is a bar fight during the game? That would be rebellion act #4 perpetrated by a disgruntled fan. He'd act alone but in concert with millions of other pissed off men.
 
yes it might seem that way at face value - it surely must be easier to get people to pick up pamphlets than it would be to get them to pick up weapons. But that is assuming that the system, at least when it comes to major issues, isn't "rigged", which it most likely is.

if people push with politics, the state will be obliged to push back - after all, its their game to win or lose.
and if it gets to the point where there is crisis and upheaval, due to internal or external forces or both (and we are definitely not anywhere near such a situation right now), then the political facade is taken completely off the table by the state and violence is the only recourse, often begun by a small core of highly motivated individuals.

I see the teen population as being made to e-vent. That is, take out their angst virtually, through obsene forum posts, Facebook, TeenSpot, and other social networking sites, and clicking buttons of their blackberries and other tech toys endlessly to ease the pain and loneliness. The grownups are the main ones to worry about, at least for now. More and more disgruntled and ex employees, as well as those that feel a government agency has wronged them (IRS audits must increase to bridge the budget gap as well), are going to lash out. Once you have stories of twenty shots fired and eighteen deaths, rather than 100 shots fired and three deaths, you'll know it's gone from bad to worse. Because then it's actual shooters and firearms enthusiasts, not just morons with guns.

problem with a revolution is who replaces our government? bible thumping right wingers? fuck thats just as bad.
