Weirdest, most chilling, most ****ed up film you've seen?

This is a classic example of a mundane event turned into an extreme nightmare scenario. One of the few truly memorable cinematic black comedy shorts...recommended.

I don't tend to see many films of this kind, so I haven't heard of, let alone seen many of the films in this thread!

I was really disturbed by Paris Trout though. Dennis Hopper creeps me out at the best of times, but that one really really creeped me out.

I know what you mean. I'm not sure whether I've seen Paris Trout but I remember him in Blue Velvet.

I'm sure he's a very nice man but I would not like to be left alone in a room with him. :)

I mentioned this thread to my brother.

It was my Birthday last week and one of the presents that he gave me was a package marked 'The Trilogy of Damnation' :D

Inside was Martyrs, Salo and Antichrist.

I will let you know how I get on :)

That one was blown entirely out of proportion when the BBFC banned it. It's relentlessly gory, but no more so than some other horrors that the BBFC have passed at 18, and it was clearly done on a shoestring budget because it all looked really fake. The excuse that it was the sexual violence is a load of shite when Antichrist featured
a man having his penis crushed and then ejaculating blood as he was unconsciously masturbated.
but that's okay, because it's "arty"

I prefer to think that the BBFC banned it because it was a pathetic film.

It's English title is 'Inside'. I didn't find that one particularly disturbing if i'm honest, the gore was so outrageously OTT and unrealistic that it kind of negated how disturbing it could have been. I really liked the film though, probably one of the best horror/slashers i've seen recently. The first half while the woman is being stalked is incredibly tense. When you watch it a second time you suddenly see the stalker in scenes that you never even noticed her in before, hidden in the background. Very creepy.

In reagrRAB to 'Salo', I'd take JCR and Carlito's advice. I watched it purely out of morbid curiosity and it was really nasty, and if i'm honest it's not even a particularly good film. The 'Circle of Shit' and 'Circle of Blood' chapters feature some of most horrible images in cinema, and like JCR said you really don't want them in your head.

Also, i feel that i should mention that just because 'Martyrs' has been mentioned in this thread that people shouldn't avoid it. Quite the contrary, i wholeheartedly reccommend the film if you like horror movies. It's one of the best horrors i've seen in years. You do need a strong stomach though!

That scene made me laugh as it's so camp and silly!!

A Ma souer has an endeing I didn't see coming at all. I can still see the chubby girl's face.
I

I have Baise Moi and finally watched it last year. I found it depressing more than anything. It's sad that the actress killed herself in real life.

I didn't find Salo beautiful. I found it boring. Nothing much happens except some old prossies singing about wee and the shit-eating that just looks like chocolate, which I believe it was.

One film I boycott is Cannibal Holocaust because of the real animal killings. There is no excuse for that.

It couldn't be The Sound of Music. :D

But seriously that is exactly the film that I was talking about and reading some of the reviews on IMDB it lives up to what I perceived it to be.

You guys certainly know your movies.

Thanks a lot.

I may pluck up the courage to watch it some time.

A British film called Mum and Dad...I think it was a horror but just the thought of it makes me feel sick. I dont even know if it came out at the cinema. Relly disturbing film.
