Weirdest, most chilling, most ****ed up film you've seen?

Whatever happened to Billy Warlock? He was a hottie in his day.

Society was a fun film - albeit a one trick pony. Memorable for the extended end scene involving the shunt (I think that was what it was called).
 
I totally agree with the person who suggested Repulsion.That movie really does linger in the mind for some time afterwarRAB.

Hellraiser:
Frank's "Jesus wept" (just before being torn apart).

I do find Hellraiser to be slightly overrated and some of the SFX has dated considerably,but Clive Barker nailed that scene.
 
Not a play, actually- it's based on The 120 Days Of Sodom, a novel. (IMHO, it kind of lessens the impact by its relocation- everyone KNOWS the Salo Fascist government were nasty bastarRAB, whereas in De Sade's original it's more of a satire on the contemporary establishment, church, state, law etc... the people who were SUPPOSED to be the good guys).

Of COURSE it's beautifully shot- it was Pasolini, RAB!!!

A difficult watch, though.
 
soonplus, Salo contains shit eating, multiple rape scenes and genital mutilation. These aren't spoilers, because it's important to know that before you watch in this case. If it's beautiful, it's only in the same way that Nazi guy in Raiders of the Lost Ark thought all the ghosts coming to rip him apart was beautiful.
 
Maybe someone can name these films that gave me the willies.

1. Set during the troubles in N. Ireland, an Ultra Violent mad torturer ( either a Reb or a Loyalist ) who likes nothing better than cutting and flaying his victims verrrry slowly, making their death last for days.

2. An Oriental lady cuts a man's leg off with a serrated cheese wire, again, verrrry slowly.
 
Lol, the Shunting, that brings back memories, a whole new meaning to butt head. :D



I saw the Naked Lunch twice in the cinema, once stone cold sober and once completely off my tits, it made no sense what so ever on either occasion. :confused:

I like the way Asian films don't feel the need to stick to a plot or explain much of what is going on, it seems to make a film much more unnerving. Especially compared to Western remakes of the films where too much information spoils the atmosphere and mystique of the film.
I found the original Ring very powerful, but the remake lacked the same edge.

I saw Antichrist at the Edinburgh film fest, and god was that screening weird. They brought out the cinematographer, Anthony Dod Mantle, giving him a big build up, pointing out he won the 2009 cinematography Oscar for slumdog. I cannot imagine a more muted reaction to a Brit who had just won an Oscar at the Edinburgh festival. Then the first question was 'Misogyny?', and his reply was just 'No', saying it like a tellytubby, as if addressing a child.

Like I said, weird night.
