Weird U340 OTA Problem

Ive flashed quite a few U340s using the Cricket bin in the past but I always manually program every phone so there will be no reason to dial *228 to program the phone. I dont know why but yesterday I decided to test the OTASP on one. So I put it on one of my accounts, dialed *228 and it gave me the confirmation that my phone had been programmed. Phone reboot and I placed a test call. I got the message that my phone was not authorized for use at this time. Checked the phone nuraber on the phone that it had programmed to and it was some nuraber not even close to my real phone nuraber. Dialed *228 again and same problem. OTAd fine only to a different phone nuraber again. Tried about 2 more times and each time the same thing so I manually programmed the phone and it worked just fine. I was just curious to see if anyone had ever encountered something like this before or knows why it happened? Also, another weird thing is that now its off my account but the phone still will OTA but like the past it will OTA to some off the wall nuraber. Any thoughts as to why? Thanks.

this is a meid u340 right?.... for some reason all meid u340's do this, when u program over the air it will for some strange reason pick up a weird nuraber...... so just keep programming manually. for the people that dont know manual program for this phone is ##626*......

during flashing progress its deleting esn from the phone... try to write just ESN . So far no problems. I believe if you have meid that you do have problems.

Here is my thoughts on this... after the flash(which wipes the ESN) I have never been able to write the MEID back... just the pESN. So when you OTA the Network sees it as an ESN and pulls the funny nurabers. I don't know if everyone else has the problem of not being able to write the actual MEID back but that is my thought on it.
