Hey there as some of you know i fell like three times the worst being the third and i was laying in bed one night after and i lay on my stomach, usually most comfortable. Well the other night i leaned up a little to get comfortable and i could feel the shooting pain in my back go all the way down the back of my leg, like it's were it hurts normally but i like induced it and could have drawn a line down the path of the pain. What could this mean possibly? also since falling on have this weird rash on my lower spine area, it was worse and you can't really see it but you can feel it? It's just a really wierd spot to have a rash especially after falling. Does anyone experience rashes with injuries? I feel like a tard but it's mind boggling and i have to wait to see a specialist.

Hi Melissa. I haven't heard of the rash do to trauma, but anything is possible. Describe the rash? Any discoloration to it and does it hurt, itch, or just bumpy? Hive like as in big bumps, little bumps? Is it all over and/or where?

Do you have allergies?

Melissa: With what you describe from the induced shooting pain, it definitely sounRAB like some nerve issues are occurring. That can be serious, so I hope you are seeing an Orthopedic Spinal Specialist. It sounRAB like you definitely need tests run (if you haven't already). Maybe even a nerve study would be beneficial - an EMG.

As far as the rash is concerned. Have you been applying heat or ice? Or using any pain relief creams your body isn't used to?

I know there are times when my skin is more sensitive than other times and while I've never developed a rash as a result of an injury, I have developed a rash from applying heat (a heat rash) or from applying some of the pain relief ointments - those really make me break out in a rash.

Just a thought.

Please keep us posted on how you're doing.

hey there, i am still waiting for Dr. to schedule an EMG and nope haven't used anything on the area of rash. You can't see it it's like scabby feeling and barely bumpy in the area of my lower spine where i have a bump or lump, orthopedic dr. told me that the lump could have been from a prior injury, it's just weird. I'm sitting here debating wether to get my arm checked out from falling yesterday on the ice, i still can't move it, put a bra on, take my arm out of my shirt ugh but i feel like a whimp and i will have gone for nothing, the rash is probably nothing but there so like i said wierd, i will mention it to my dr. when i go again. Thanks and take care, Melissa
