Weird Smell from Mazdaspeed3?

Go to the dealer and complain about the smell, if fo no other reason than to get it on record. The new car smell is not only inside the car, but some of it is outside the car. Next time you pull into the garage, lift the hood and look carefully to see if anything is smoking or if you see any leaks. Look under the car too to see if anything got stuck on the exhaust pipe- a plastic bag or something like that can stink a long time, and needs to burn off.

A burned clutch is something hard to expect on a new car. If yours is slipping and burning, the warranty should fix it.

It's been 3 weeks since I bought my new 09' mazdaspeed3. From the day ONE it got into my garage there's this weird smell coming out of engine bay area (smells similar to oil changed smell or burnt plastic smell). Whenever I park my car in the garage and turn the car off I can smell it.

I read it somewhere that it was normal smell and will go away but it hasn't yet. I am at about 800 miles into the car and due for first oil change soon, but I am still worried(IF it's oil problem). I first thought it could be burning clutch smell but I drive like how you are suppose to drive MS3 (gradually releasing the clutch while giving a gas BC this car's clutch is just too picky) So my shifting is pretty smooth. Also I don't ride the clutch unless it's necessary.

So can anyone tell me what could be the smell?
If it's burning clutch, should I look into replacing it under warranty??

Thanks in advance.
