8 days ago, I was the recipient of a stab wound to the hand. The knife was inserted just above the index finger knuckle (toward the finger tip) and stretches 7 sutures to basically directly between the index and middle knuckles. I still have the sutures in, the wound is healing quite nicely. However, I see a slight bulge (vein or tendon or something I don't know about) to the side of my middle knuckle, but ON the knuckle. The bulge, depending on my finger movements will slide off of the knuckle and cause a strange discomfort that I don't want to deal with. I can barely type without it moving on and off of the knuckle repeatedly. My question: Is it possible that this is associated with the swelling involved with the hand trauma? Or, could this be a lingering issue where my vein or tendon has been permanently jaunted by the stabbing? Thank you in advance.
