WEIRD on my 6682 - there's an "@" symbol below battery level - what is IT??

As the title says, i just saw this "@" symbol appear below my battery level. Now maybe this is a really stupid, simple question, but since I've had the phone for a year or so and never seen anything like it, kinda freaks me out......

any idea what it is??

- what do you mean email? I don't use it for email.....maybe I pushed a button by accident, but how do I turn it off? I don't think I want it on if I don't know what its doing lol

oh I've tried turning it off and on but it still remains there.....

no, i didn't try to set anything up. I might have pushed a button by mistake, but I tried to see if any screens were open in the background, and they're all closed. I clicked on the web page, said no to net service, exited and it's still there!

is there another screen where the email is on? maybe still left on? I'm not sure where to find it....

What about this.... Does is look like a letter "a" but with a square around it or is it an EXACT '@' sign?

If it is the former it is just data sign.
 
"The '@' is an indicator that you have a new e-mail in the remote mailbox."


I didn't know I had a remote mailbox....where is this? how do I look at it, through my phone or the web?
 
go out and download a program called "FExplorer". It has a screenshot capture, so we can see what the heck you're talking about.

It sounds like an email message to me, or maybe something screwy with your phone? You can also take a screenshot of your messaging screen to see if you have any mailboxes in there.
