Weird myspace message from Tom?

I got a message on myspace from Tom:

I didn't give any information because it seemed a little funny that the guy who has all of my information at the tips of his fingers would ask for it and I don't understand why he would need my email password. Does this seem strange to anyone else?
 
It's a phishing attempt. Your account is fine. Ignore it or you will get your profile hacked. Myspace doesn't need your password. If they we're gonna can your account they would not give you a 24 hr notice. They would just do it and maybe send you an e-mail. Not on myspace though.
 
I don't think it's really from Tom. Someone could have created a profile using Tom's picture or something and is trying to hack into people's accounts... but Tom himself would never send a message like that. Whatever you do, do NOT give out that information.
 
i think its someone whos trying to hack ur account. if it were me i wouldnt send any of it
and if it did earse my account i would make another one
