we've recently switched to BT internet and got the fancy wireless homeHUB
it's plugged directly into our family computer, and is sitting on top of the Tower. and yet the computer gets a Low to Very Low signal and a max of 54Mbps (usually 36 or 40ish)
meanwhile through 2 floors and 20feet of air, in the attic, my computer gets a very strong signal (usally 4-5/5 bars) and 144Mbps
our old modem was even worse, the main comp got zilch, no net, while mine and the laptops got full power (eventually we lost it too though, hence the change)
what the hell is going on? and how do I fix it?, I like the uber connection but we really need a good signal downstairs
