Weird Dream about hell or something...........................?

One night about a year ago i had a dream where i was in a church with about 30 other people during the night, then all of a sudden, a woman who looked like the exorcist with cuts on her face started screaming at us and running at us, she caught hold of me and started stabbing me, i felt all the pain as though it was real. It felt 100% real, then i woke up after a wile of being stabbed, i wasn't in any pain after i woke up. But in the dream the pain felt very very real and was the worst pain ive ever felt.

I haven't been to a church in years since i was a kid and ive never had a nightmare as scary and as horrible as that.

My Question is
Could this be caused by some sort of want to believe in a god?
 
I once had a dream where I threw up, and it really felt like I was throwing up. I've also felt pain in dreams. I think your imagination goes into overdrive when you're dreaming like that and your mind creates "pain".
 
It sounds like a nightmare, and that it was likely fueled by movies and TV...
