Weird dog in golfing field?

I was driving by a gold field and saw a dog that looked like a fox/ german shepherd, it had a big tail and was light brown, it had odd markings they were grey patches on his back and face. There is a woodsy area behind the golf field.
He was wandering around and looked wild.
What kind of dog is it?
