Weird battery behavior on my N73

I have a weekday alarm to wake me up in the mornings. The past 2 nights, I've forgotten to take my phone with me upstairs so it has stayed and obviously the alarm has gone off on its own. Yesterday morning the phone was dead which was to be expected because my battery was kinda low. I fully charge the phone yesterday and didn't talk on it a whole bunch. This morning, same thing happened yet again. And the phone acts like the battery has been fully drained. Any explanations?

are you leaving stuff running in the background? Or an open internet connection?

1. Press and hold the menu key. In the list that pops up, you should only see Standby. Anything else, highlight and click "c".

2. Once you've done #1, look at the little bars beneath the Signal meter bars. Are they solid? If they are, press and hold the "end" key, it'll ask if you want to disconnect, say yes and the bars should go to dotted.

3. Depending on whether it's brand new or you've recently updated the firmware, go into your settings, network, and change from dual-mode to just GSM.

Nope, I usually close all apps, but thanks for the suggestions. I did have dual mode on because there was a threat of 3G being rolled out in my area, but I'm not holding my breath any longer. Hey by the way, did you complete the black housing swap? How much will you charge to swap mine?

In any case, since you're on Cingular, the 3G on the N73 wouldn't work anyways, different frequencies, fyi.

I did complete the housing swap, you can watch the video on my site if you click the "archives and categories" button up top and go to the Features category.

It wasn't that hard, really, you could do it yourself. I'd charge you $20 to do it, plus you'd pay shipping both ways.

I was saying it jokingly but for $20 I really think I'd do it. I know myself and I don't have the patience. I'd probably jam the card in the corner too hard, break something and then get pissed and throw the phone at a wall lol. I did watch the video...I'm sure being that it won't be your first time, you'll probably breeze through it.

yeah actually i've already had to do it again cause the first time my gallery button wouldn't work, so i had to take the thing apart again. 2nd time it took me maybe 10-15min
