I have an abnormal period, sometimes I can go a few months without anything, but once in awhile, my weight will drop 10 pounds (such as when I am sick) and I get my period without fail. Why do I get my period when I lose the 10 pounds, but once I gain it back, I go back to not having it? Is the difference in weight really that significant? If I was actually able to lose the weight for good, would I have a better chance at having a normal monthly period?
