What do you mean by kind of slow? I'm sure you will have at least a week but probably more like two weeks to exchange albums and write a review. If thats what you mean then im sure that will be fine!

...added and...

^...this is basically the idea of the theme. The theme is of stuff you're not exactly over-familiar with, and not to send each other albums you know you'll despise. Like I'd take a bit underground hip-hop, darkwave, modern classical or whatever. As I say, that kinda thing won't take long to sort out over PMs.

Anyway, the list...

Anteater

CanwllCorfe
Duga
FreebaseDali

^ Gotta say, that's quite the healthy-looking list.

I'll be back in a few hours after I've got some more work done in uni, so I'll pair you all up then.

I just remerabered this thread existed and was gonna see what was goin down, maybe join in for the next round but i'm not too sure about the above idea. Isn't what makes this thread work that the album you get given could be absolutely anything? And wouldnt putting limitations on peoples submissions kind of ruin that?

I'll keep an open mind though and see how it pans out. I might be surprised.

Once I have 100 posts I'd like to get in on this, but is it necessary that we upload it ourselves? I'm stuck on dial up and downloading isn't that big of a problem (despite generally taking between 3 to 6 hours to get an album), but I don't know if I'll even be able to upload. Uploading speed on dial up are absolutely atrocious.

Well shoe sent me an Immortal Technique Album. Revolutionary Vol 1.

To be honest it was ****ing awesome. Im not really in a Hip Hop phase right now but this was a great listen. Its simple hip hop, the way i like it. Straight forward simple beats without relying on hooks for your attention. I give it a 7.5/10.

edit: This reminded me of Gangg Star.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it enough to possibly give it another listen sometime. I was a bit nervous recommending that album as I know it really isn't for everyone. I find VAC's music to be quite interesting, though. Although, I have to warn against tripping to this music...my brother and I tried it out while shrooming and the result wasn't so fun. We ended up switching to Mogwai, which was truly epic...but that is another story.

VAC has also released a ton of music, a lot of it being hit or miss...but there are around 4 albums of his that I find to be incredibly original and worth checking out.

I will get the review for your album up soon!
