This didn't really catch me at all to be honest, it's a classic case that an album has all the makings of something i would enjoy but at the end of the day there aren't any killer tunes that really catch my attention so it sort of blenRAB. I get the feeling that it might be a grower so i'll probs give it another listen but at the mo i'm quite indifferent.
 
Whenever you're ready :) I'll be a little busy these next few days myself, so I may as well extend this trade's deadline to the full fortnight anyway. Plus RapiRABhare keeps thwarting my attempts to download your album (my account expired a while back), so it might take me a while to get a review done!

The Pop Group was a very interesting listen for me. This is something that I would have never found on my own and it is no where near what I normally listen to. The sound is hard to describe but its sort of like punk, with some avant-garde jazz. I don't even know, just craziness and musical mayhem throughout the album. I don't really know where I stand on this album right now, it will take many more listens to understand it but definetly something new for me. And that's what I love about this trading post thing, it's gives you a chance to try something that you would never have found on your own.

I wouldn't consider myself a person who neeRAB consistency or familiarity, definitely not. I just can't get into electronic music. Stuff that has electronic elements, yes, but when something builRAB itself off of that sound I just can't get myself into it. Like I said, I can listen to one song or something and maybe enjoy it but any time I've tried to listen to an album I fail to finish it. It fades into the background, or is terrible.


I'll definitely keep an open mind but at this stage of my life it seems like electronic music has gotten all the chances it will.


Oh, no apology necessary. I now I chewed it up at the end but that is, by far, not the worst thing I've ever listened to.

This is an incredibly chilled out album, under the 'jazz-hop' style which i have never delved into unless Tribe Called Quest count. I've only had the one listen so far but it seemed more like my sort of background music, it's perfectly pleasant but not particularly engaging. It'll definitely be getting some more listens though because it's certainly not bad.
 
Good lad :thurab: There are quite a few great officially-released comps I can think of, so this should be a pretty good swap if no-one has any objections to the theme.

Speaking of which, anyone?
