The Shortwave Set- Replica Sun Machine

Replica Sun Machine is the second album released by British alternative/psychedelic pop band The Shortwave Set. I'd never heard of these guys, so it was quite a treat finding out about them, because I certainly liked it. From the psychedelic side comes some interesting sounRAB, and experimental effects. However, I can definitely see the pop side a lot more. Evident all throughout the album, especially in songs such as Now Till '69 and Harmonia, are some great, catchy vocal melodies that are easy to sing along to. Overall I enjoyed the album very much for how it corabined a light psychedelic side with pop elements. I even thought I could hear some electronica in there:p:
Favorite songs were: Harmonia, Now Till '69, Distant Daze
Overall: 8.5/10

Thanks for sending me this album abdullah:D

Well, I received Fielding by Hala Strana from Terrible Lizard and this my attempt at a review.

TL and I both sent each other a handful of links to choose from, and I decided on this mainly because I was curious as to why he thought I might already own this particular album. It's an instrumental album, featuring experimental folk, drawing inspiration from traditional eastern european music. There are some very interesting compositions on this album, and though his material is based and formed around ancient techniques, the music is strikingly original and impressive on the whole. I'm left very happy with my selection.

Yeah that sounRAB about right. I have plenty of time to listen to the album I get, but writing a review is the slow part. I pretty much only have the net at work atm.
