Got from RVCA:

PISCES OF ISCARIOT - The Smashing Pumpkins
From Wiki: Pisces Iscariot is a compilation album of B-sides, demos, and outtakes released in 1994 by The Smashing Pumpkins

Though I prefer Various Artists comps to discover new artists, I have to say, realising that it's a single band comp, I was a bit disappointed. Plus the Smashing Pumpkins weren't one of those new banRAB that you discover in some rare compilation, which lessened my enthusiasm ... but I have to say, I needed this kind of push, to get myself to listen to The Smashing Pumpkins after months of owning their whole discography.

Maybe it's not the perfect place to start with SP, but these tracks turned out to my liking. Seems like I had a very wrong idea of them, I'm glad this comp set me straight. I don't have much to say about these B-sides and unreleased tracks, as I haven't listened to much of their officially released Studio albums to write some decent comparison. All I know for now, I'll be giving their albums some repeated spins very soon.

'twas a nice comp RVCA :thurab: Cheers.

Well, if you or anyone else aren't really on the idea, I'm cool with thinking of something else when there's a bit less whiskey having its way with me :D

Seriously, if anyone ain't up for it, I'll think of something else.

Coolio. But I always seem to end up with people who I've never really discussed music with...I guess I'll just have to send something and see if it sticks.

Also Abdullah I know you're still waiting on my extremely overdue review..... I've had some things going on the past couple weeks but I whole-heartedly promise I will get it in eventually:D

Good lad :thurab: So that's...

UnchainedBallad
Jim

Who else then? It'll be three-way swaps all-round this time (...maybe), which should make things slightly more interesting.

I did but I got swamped with video editing work today so I wasn't able to give it much of a listen, and when I did it was more background music than anything else. Tomorrow looks like it's just data entry though so I'll need music to stop me from putting a gun between my teeth.

Also what I meant by my post above yours was "the song 'That Sound' was pretty ****ty huh, that's why it's not a 10/10". I hate the person he got to do the guest vocals in the song for purely selfish reasons.

Dont commend me, to be honest I made it out of my own selfish lazyness. That way its one less album Id have to search for. Without a daily dose of something new Rezz can get grumpy.

I quite liked the Cursive album that dreadnaught sent me. It felt like an indie rock album, but screamed (no pun intended) of post-hardcore. Definitely my kind of thing, sort of reminded me of Glassjaw, and maybe At The Drive-In. A grower for sure.
